Rock Rapids, IA Click Here to Live Stream Marsha Lee Haan age 65 of Sioux Falls, SD, formerly of Rock Rapids, Iowa died Monday, November 23, 2020 at Ava’s House Hospice facility n Sioux Falls, SD. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, December 1st at Jurrens Funeral Home with Father Sunny Dominic as Celebrant. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids. Public visitation will be Monday, November 30th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids. Due to Covid-19 restrictions the Haan family will not be present. Marsha Lee Haan was born August 17, 1955 in Rock Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Charles “Jack” and Bernadetta (Tille) Haan. She was raised on a farm near Rock Rapids and attended Central Lyon School, graduating in 1975. In 1990, she and her family moved off the farm into town. On February 17, 1993 Marsha’s mother Bernadetta passed away. Marsha continued living with her father until his death on March 30, 2001. She then moved to Sioux Falls, SD. She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Rock Rapids. She provided care for young children for a number of families. She enjoyed embroidery, cross stitching, roller skating and family get togethers. She loved animals, especially dogs. In her younger years, her siblings remember building snow forts and snow sculptures. Marsha is survived by two siblings, Patricia Haan of Sheldon, IA and Jerry Haan of Sioux Falls, SD; step-siblings, Dick (Carol) Rowlands of Portland, OR; brother-in-law, Pete Baker of Dallas, TX; several nieces and nephews, Nicole (Matt) Van Beek, Chance (Kristin)Haan, Leslie Rowlands, William Rowlands, David Baker, Richard (Della) Baker and Charles Baker; and other aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Bernadetta Haan; a sister-in-law, Cindy Haan; a step-sister, Laura Baker; and two nieces, Joy and Carmen Baker.
