Mary Lu Klocko age 86 of Larchwood, Iowa died Thursday, April 1, 2021 at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
A memorial service will be 10:30 AM Monday, April 5, 2021 at English Lutheran Church in Larchwood with Reverend Alex Sloter, officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Larchwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Mary Lu was born September 5, 1934 in Emmetsburg, Iowa to Lawrence and Mabel (Hanna) Hantelmann. She attended school at Senica Consolidated School in Fenton, Iowa.
On December 26, 1954 she was united in marriage to Everett G. Klocko at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Fenton, Iowa. To this union four children were born Fred, Catherine, Amy and George.
Mary was a member of the English Lutheran Church in Larchwood where she played piano for many years. She was a member of the American Legion Auxilary in Larchwood. In the past Mary used to write TV commercials for KELO Television. She enjoyed crocheting, attending her grandchildren’s events, and accompanying her grandchildren for band solos. Her family remembers her as easy going, creative and generous. The most important part of Mary’s life was her faith and her family.
Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Fred (Cassie) Klocko of Morrisville, NC, Catherine (Larry) Poss of Larchwood, IA, Amy Klocko of Sioux Falls, SD and George (Dee) Klocko of Rock Rapids, IA; 9 grandchildren, Casson, Jeff, Angie, Liz, Sarah, Jill, Jon, Hannah and Mollee; 12 great grandchildren, Chloe, Cade, Claire, Carter, Myles, Macy, Makhi, Kason, Koen, Harrison, Grady, Jade and Nora; along with extended relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Everett G. Klock; her parents, Lawrence and Mabel Hantelmann; two brothers, Lawrence Jr. and Charles Hantelmann; and granddaughter Soffee Klocko.
