Nelvina "Nel" Pearl Moser

NOTICE: Lester, IA

Nelvina "Nel" Moser, age 79 of Hull, formerly of Lester passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025, at the Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull, IA. 

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 from 5-7 PM with the family present at the Bethel Reformed Church in Lester, IA.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, April 16, 2025 also at the Bethel Reformed Church in Lester. 

Nelvina “Nel” Moser was born on May 18, 1945 in Le Mars, IA to parents Simon and Margaret (De Jong) Pollema. She grew up and attended school in Hull, IA. Later Nel was united in marriage to Roger Moser on September 3, 1971 in Hull, IA. The couple lived in Inwood and Larchwood before making their home in Lester. In 2015 the couple moved into Rock Rapids. She enjoyed camping, antiquity, word searches and puzzles. Mainly her spare time was filled with her grandchildren’s activities and would spend time with them any chance she could.

Nel is survived by her three children Chris (Amber) Moser of Vermillion, SD, Melissa (Doug) Vollink of Rock Valley, IA, and Sam (Jennifer) Moser of Larchwood, IA; seven grandchildren Kyle (Jamie) Moser, Tyler Moser, Tanner Moser, Landon Vollink, Morgan Vollink and Kayla Kennedy; Three great grandsons Brayden, Grayson and Kohen Moser; a sister Wynn (Neal) Feenstra of Rock Valley, IA; three brothers Pete (Nelva) Pollema of Hull, IA, Junior (Peggy) of Hull, IA, and Jay (Ellen) Pollema of Lytle Creek, CA; and a sister-in-law Audrey Pollema of Sioux Center, IA; and many nieces nephews and extended family members.

Nelvina was preceded in death by her parents Simon and Margaret Pollema, her husband Roger, two brothers, Clifford and Frank Moser; and one niece Michelle Feenstra.
