Pamela M. Foster, age 56, of Rock Rapids, Iowa, died Friday, September 15, 2023, at the Good Samaritan Society in George, Iowa.
The funeral service will be at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 19, 2023, at the First Reformed Church in Rock Rapids, with Rev. Steve Van Wyhe officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids.
Public Visitation will be Tuesday, September 19th, one hour prior to the service at the church.
Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids is in charge of services.
Pamela Marie Foster was born on December 23, 1966, in Sibley, Iowa, the daughter of Eugene Robert and Muriel Viola (Stall) Dreke. She graduated from Sibley High School in 1985. She continued her education at the University of South Dakota for 1 year.
She married Jim Foster and moved to Worthington, MN for a short time. She was blessed with four children, Dylan, Jeremiah, Alex, and Daniel. She then moved to Rock Rapids, IA, where she worked at the Rock Rapids Health Centre as a cook.
She enjoyed listening to country music, watching old westerns, reading and trips to Sioux Falls to shop. Most of all she enjoyed visiting with family and friends. She loved caring for animals and cheering the New England Patriots football team.
Because of failing health, Pamela entered the Good Samaritan Home in George, IA on August 17, 2016, where she remained until her death this past Friday, September 15, 2023.
She is survived by her children, Dylan, Jeremiah, Alex and Daniel; six siblings, Bob (Barb) Dreke of Rock Rapids, IA, Pat (Curt) Harms of Sheldon, IA, Sharon (Les) Powers of Sibley, IA, Steve (Karen) Dreke and Sue (David) Lindemann, both of State Center, IA, and Beth (Denny) Kruger of Sheldon, IA; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Muriel Dreke; two nephews, Kyle Dreke and Bradley Willemssen; brother-in-law, Steve Willemssen; and an infant great-nephew, Robert Lyle Dreke.
