Percy Meyer

      Percy Meyer, age 54, of George, IA passed away unexpectedly Friday, December 23, 2022, at his home in George, IA.

     Private family graveside inurnment will take place at a later date at the St. John Lutheran Cemetery at Boyden, IA.

    Percy Leon Meyer was born November 16, 1968, at Rock Rapids, IA the son of Irvin and Lavonne (Dammann) Meyer.  Percy grew up on the family farm south of George with his three older sisters.  Percy attended George Community School and graduated from George High School in May of 1988.  Percy had an eye for detail and used his skills as a carpenter for Krull Construction in Orange City, IA.  He will be remembered as a loving brother and caring uncle to his nieces and nephews.

     He is survived by siblings, Carol (Kevin) Dirks of George, Iowa, Beverly (Eric) Raber of Millersburg, Ohio, and Janet (Randy) Schmith of Boyden, Iowa, as well as 12 nieces and nephews and 6 great nieces and nephews.

     A devoted son, Percy was preceded in death by his parents Irvin and Lavonne Meyer, and great-niece Destiny Joy.
