     Phyllis Consoer age 96 formerly of Ocheyedan, IA died on Wednesday, May 12, 2021 at her daughters home rural Lake Park, IA.

     Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, May 17^th at the Zion Lutheran Church rural Ocheyedan, IA, with Reverend Ryan Brons and Reverend Nathan Reichle officiating.

     Burial will follow in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Horton Township, Ocheyedan, IA.

     Public visitation will be Sunday, May 16^th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the family present at the Jurrens Funeral Home/ Andringa Funeral Chapel in Ocheyedan, IA.

     Phyllis Bertha Dorr was born on October 14, 1924 in Marcus, IA, the daughter of Arthur and Bertha (Wendt) Dorr.

     On May 1, 1945, she was united in marriage to Warren O. Consoer at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Marcus, IA. The couple farmed Echo Grove Family Farm from 1945 – 1957. From 1957 – 2013 they farmed on Tanager Road, Horton Township, Ocheyedan, IA. Warren passed away on January 9, 2014.

     Phyllis was an active member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Horton Township, rural Ocheyedan, where she was a Sunday school teacher, choir member and a member of the LWML. Phyllis served as a 4-H leader for several years. She enjoyed gardening, baking, sewing, and did needle work. She especially loved spending time with her family.

     Phyllis is survived by her six children: Roger Consoer of St. Charles, IA, Catherine (William) Kaufmann of Burlington, WI, Milton (Sandra) Consoer of Ocheyedan, IA, James (Glenda) Consoer of Sioux Falls, SD, Contance (Robert) Brons of Lake Park, IA and Brenda (Eugene) Wunderlich of Harvard, IL; twenty-four grandchildren, forty-two great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; sister, Dorothy (Vernon) Ebert of North Carolina; sister-in-law, Marilyn Consoer of Worthington, MN; brother-in-law, Ronald Beardsley of Berlin, WI; brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Lorraine Consoer of Prescott, AZ; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family.

     She was preceded her parents, Arthur and Bertha Dorr; four brothers, Stuart, Wayne, Arnold and Carl; sister, Florence; son-in-law, John Zeuner; and father and mother-in-law, Henry and Martha Consoer.
