Rebecca “Becky” Price age 68 of Sibley, IA died Monday, August 12, 2019 at Country View Manor in Sibley, IA.
A memorial service will be 10:30 AM on Friday, August 16th at the First Baptist Church in Sibley, IA with Rev. Doug Noonkester officiating.
The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service on Friday, August 16th in Sibley, IA.
Rebecca “Becky” Price was born February 26, 1951 in Donaldsonville, Georgia, the daughter of James J. McWaters and Annie K. English. At the age of 3 years Becky’s mother died and she went to live with her aunt and uncle, Claude and Lettie Roberts in Elba, Alabama. After her education Becky served in the U.S. Navy. She worked as a bartender, security staff and dancer. She also worked in road construction, seamstress work and as a dry cleaner. She most recently worked at Village Northwest in Sheldon, IA and Dynos in Sibley, IA.
She was married to Rolland Christians in 1969 at Elba, AL. Two children were blessed to this union, Monique and Kris.
She enjoyed cooking, poetry, word search and arts and crafts. She loved spending time with her family and adored her chihuahua dogs.
She is survived by her two children, Monique Smith of Sibley, IA and Kris Christians of Chiefland, FL; six grandchildren, Mary Smith (special friend, Victor Overs) of Little Rock, IA, Max Smith of Sibley, IA, Charles (wife, AshLee) Smith of Eden Valley, MN, Ardith Smith of Sibley, IA, Kaylanna Christians of Big Fork, MN, and Kelsey Christians(fiancée, Nik) of Hibbing, MN; seven great-grandchildren, Carolina Smith, Sofia Smith, Kristopher Smith, Cattleya Smith, Apollo Smith, Ivy Christians, Safire Harrington; and several nieces, nephews and other special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, James “Jim” P. McWaters.
