Rhonda Henrichs age 51 of Sibley, IA died Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family in Sibley, after a courageous battle with cancer.
A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 30, 2021 at the First Reformed Church in Sibley, with Pastor Luke Schouten officiating. Social distancing guidelines will be followed.
Burial will be private for family at a later date in the Holman Township Cemetery in Sibley.
Public visitation will be Friday, January 29th from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley. Masks are recommended and social distancing guidelines will be followed.
Rhonda Lynn (Post) Henrichs was born on July 21, 1969 in Sheldon, IA, the daughter of Charles Duane and Reka Irene (Offringa) Post. She grew up in Sibley and later graduated from Sibley-Ocheyedan High School. Rhonda then attended Le Mars Beauty School in Le Mars, IA.
On March 25, 1989, Rhonda was united in marriage to Thomas Craig Lemke and the couple made their home in Sibley. After three and a half years of marriage they divorced.
Rhonda then met George Allen Henrichs and they were married on April 2, 1994 in Sibley, IA. To this union one son was born, Clint Allen Henrichs.
Rhonda worked several jobs throughout her life such as, Chucks Palace Café, Country View Manor, Exopack (now Hood), and Hope Haven.
She was a member of the First Reformed Church, where she was active as a Sunday school teacher and the ladies circle.
Rhonda enjoyed camping, eating out with her family, going to music concerts, going out with friends from high school, “Girls Night Out”, and playing cards.
Rhonda’s most special memories were watching Clint wrestle, show his sheep at the Osceola County Fair, graduate from Sibley Ocheyedan High School and attend college.
Rhonda is survived by her son, Clint Henrichs of Sibley, IA; her mother, Reka Post of Sibley, IA; maternal grandmother, Alice Offringa of Sibley, IA; three siblings, Brenda (Mark), son Ethan (Sierra), Alicia and Omar; Duane Dean (Molly) Post of George, IA, their children, Mason, MacKensie and Mallory; and Scott Thomas (Carissa) Post of Spencer, IA, their daughter, Courtney; other extended family; and special friends, Jen Peterson, Cindy Dagel, Renee Newville, Michelle Saul, Gina Wietzema, Dawn Butler, Nola Trei, Maribeth Appledorn, Kim Mason and Mary Jensen.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; father, Charles Duane Post; husband, George Allen Henrichs on November 11, 2016; and an infant sister.
