Robert Allen Frey was born October 9, 1949 to Richard and Evelyn (Klatt) Frey. He grew up in Sibley and graduated in 1967 from Sibley High School. After high school he attended NITC and received his Associate of Arts Degree. He served in the United States Army as a medic during the Vietnam War. His platoon referred to him as “Doc Frey”. He furthered his military service in the National Guard until 1975. After returning from Vietnam Bob and Bob Welch started the EMT service in Sibley.
