Rollo Johnnie Lottman

     Rollo Lottman age 83 of Larchwood, Iowa died Wednesday, November 11, 2020 at his home in Larchwood.

   A Graveside Service will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Larchwood Cemetery in Larchwood, Iowa with Fr. Sunny Dominic officiating. Family and friends will gather at The Church of St. Mary at 9:45 a.m. and travel to the cemetery for the service.

     Rollo Johnnie Lottman was born March 3, 1937, in Inwood, Iowa, to Jacob and Adell (Monen) Lottman. He grew up near Larchwood, Iowa, where he attended country school. On April 25, 1959, Rollo was united in marriage to Joan Underberg at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Larchwood, IA where the couple made their home and raised their five children. Rollo’s career included employment at various jobs including Gage’s, Tony Sauers Farming, the Larchwood Elevator, and Grand Labs. He was a jack of all trades, having extensive knowledge of mechanics, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, gardening, and family and friends often came to him for help and advice. Rollo served on the Larchwood Fire Department for 20 years and was a member of St. Mary’s Church. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, gardening, snowmobiling, and attending rodeos. He will be remembered most recently for his love of Westerns, sitting in his favorite chair, and watching the Hawkeyes play football. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He truly was “one of the good guys”.

     Those left cherish his memory are his wife of 61 years, Joan; children, Lora (Leon) Burgers of Alvord, IA, Eugene (MaryAnn) Lottman of Fairview, VT, Raymond (Shawna) Lottman of Lyons, SD, Kristy (Monte) Miller of Worthing, SD, Denny (Paula) Lottman of Kadoka, SD; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; sister Judy Soderman of Sioux Falls,SD; brother Curtis Lottman of Sioux Falls, SD; along with many extended family and friends.

     Rollo was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Donnie Lottman and son-in-law, Dale Pottebaum.
