Ruby L. Kutil

Rock Rapids, IA       Ruby L. Kutil age 82 of Sioux Falls, SD died Sunday, November 18, 2018 at Sanford USD Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.      Family will gather at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Jurrens Funeral Home of George, IA, before processing to the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery at George for burial, with Rev, John Pea officiating.      Ruby L. Kutil was born September 15, 1936 in Sibley, IA, the daughter of Fred H. and Susie (Van Briessen) Kruger. She grew up in Sibley with two sisters and three brothers. Ruby attended Holman #17 School and graduated from Sibley High School. She continued her education at a Le Mars Beauty School, tailoring school in Pipestone, MN and also studied Market Management at Northwest Iowa Tech in Sheldon, IA.      She lived in many communities throughout the years, such as Sibley, IA, Luverne, MN, Quinn, SD, McVille, ND, White Sande, NM, Kimball, NE, Le Mars, IA, Rock Rapids, IA, Custer, SD, Rapid City, SD, Hibbing, MN and Sioux Falls, SD.      Important life accomplishments for Ruby were caring for and raising her four boys, her education and careers.   She enjoyed ceramics, needle point, gardening, canning and shopping. Ruby also enjoyed traveling to Huntington Beach, CA, New York, NY, Canada and Mexico.      Later in life she lived at Sunnycrest Village in Sioux Falls, SD and Meadows On Sycamore Assisted Living in Sioux Falls.      Ruby is survived by her four sons, Craig (wife Gloria) De Berg of Edina, MN, Curtis De Berg of Chico, CA, Javis (wife Mari) De Berg of Sioux Falls, SD and Del Roy (wife Karen) De Berg of Melrose, WI; ten grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Linda Honkump of Ashton, IA and Pat Van Briessen of George, IA; and many other extended family.      She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Suzie Kruger; three brothers, Robert, Jim and Gene Kruger; and infant sister, Sandra Kruger.
