Ryan Palmer, age 43 of Sibley, IA died on Monday, October 18, 2021, from injuries sustained in a truck accident near Sioux City, IA.
Funeral service will be 10:30 am, Monday, October 25th at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley, with Pastor Heather Kraai officiating.
Visitation will be Sunday, October 24th from 4:00 to 8:00 pm, with the family present from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Jurrens Funeral Home in Sibley.
Ryan Lee Palmer was born on July 3, 1978, in Rifle, CO, the son of Ray and Elaine (Van Rooyen) Palmer. He grew up in Melvin, IA and later graduated from Hartley Melvin Sanborn High School in 1996.
On June 5, 2010, he was united in marriage to Miranda Giugler in Sibley, IA. To this union two children were born, Elizabeth and Rylan.
The couple made there home in Sibley and Ryan worked for DEMCO for a time and most recently work for Farmers COOP Society.
Ryan enjoyed tinkering with vehicles, playing video games, and especially loved spending time with his family.
Ryan is survived by his wife of eleven years, Miranda Palmer and his daughter, Elizabeth of Sibley; four siblings, Sam (Ellie) Palmer of Alvord, IA, Evan (Angie) Palmer of Sheldon, IA, Garrett (Brenna) Werlinger of Princeton, MN and Joanna Werlinger of Marion, IA; many nieces, nephews and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his mom, Elaine Werlinger; maternal grandparents, Harvey and Joan Van Rooyen; and his son, Rylan Palmer.
