Steven R. Lenderts

     Steven Lenderts age 49 of Sibley, Iowa died on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.

     Family and friends will gather at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 3^rd at the Jurrens Funeral Home in Sibley, and travel in procession to the Holman Township Cemetery for a graveside service.

     Public visitation will be Friday, April 2^nd with family present from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley. 

     Steven R. Lenderts was born January 31, 1972 in Sibley, Iowa, the son of Gerald R. and Harriet R. (Henrichs) Lenderts. He was raised in Sibley and graduated from Sibley High School in 1990. After high school he worked at Chase Bag in Sibley for 2 years. He then attended Western Iowa Tech in Sioux City. While living in Sioux City he worked at various places. He later moved to California where he enjoyed many adventures, such as skydiving, bungie jumping, hiking, paragliding, boating and skiing.  He loved time spent with his family, especially time with his nieces and nephews.

     Steven recently was faced with a short illness which he fought courageously until his death this past Tuesday, March 30, 2021.

     He is survived  by his mother, Harriet Lenderts of Sibley, IA; three brothers, Brian (wife Angie) Lenderts, and their children, Haley, Anna and Claire, all of Johnston, IA, Aaron (wife Joni) Lenderts, and their children, Keaton and Kaiya, all of Baltic, SD, and Jerry (wife Lori) Lenderts, and their children, Jayden, Marshall and Bennett, all of Papillion, NE; aunt, Elvina (husband Lynn) Van Meeteren of George, IA; uncle, Eldon (wife Donna) Henrichs of Sibley, IA; and many other extended family.

     He was preceded in death by his father, Gerald Lenderts in 1980; and paternal and maternal grandparents.
