Steven Sinnett, age 55, of Rock Rapids Iowa passed away on January 15, 2025, at his home in Rock Rapids, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Living Rock Church in Luverne, MN, with Pastor Josh Hayden officiating.
Visitation will be on Saturday, January 25th from noon until the time of service at the Living Rock Church in Luverne, MN.
Arrangements are in the care of the Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids, IA.
Steven Joseph Sinnett was born on August 6, 1969, in Kingman, KS, the son of Joseph and Linda Kay (Wolfe) Sinnett. Steven grew up in Kingman, KS and later graduated from Kingman High School in 1988.
On December 30, 1995, he was united in marriage to Heather Marie Keller in Billings, MT. They were married for 29 years and during that time they resided in six different states, ending in Iowa.
Steven owned and operated their trucking business, Borderline Farm LLC and Hobby Farm. He was a member of the Living Rock Church in Luverne, MN. His hobbies included gardening with Heather, woodworking, raising farm animals, golfing, loved starting and sitting by the fire, singing with the worship team, and spending time with his family. He was known by his grandkids as “Boppa”, started by his oldest granddaughter, Rylie when she was a toddler. The name is proudly used by his eleven grandkids.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Heather Sinnett; five children, Ethan (Keyla) Sinnett, and their four children, Jara, Jaleesa, Janaiah, and Josiah; Jacque (Drew) Palu, and their four children, Rylie, Tayton, Colton, and Reagan; Natalie Sinnett (Ty Wilkins), and their Furbaby Riza; Bridgett (Brett) Stofferan, and their three children, Hadley, Hudson, and Hadyn; and Christopher (Evelyn) Goodan; mother, Linda (Bill) Madzey of Kingman, KS and father, Joseph (Melanie) Sinnett of Pittsburg, KS; five siblings, Scott (Christy) Sinnett of Wylie, TX, Sean Sinnett of Wichita, KS, Stasha Kuhn of Salina, KS, Zachary Sinnett of Salina, KS, and Seth (Kaytlyn) Sinnett of Olathe, KS; many nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Alta Wolfe; paternal grandparents, Jess and Anna Sinnett; and numerous aunts and uncles.
