     Susan “Sue” Stirler age, 77 of Sibley, Iowa died Sunday, August 28, 2022, at Sibley Specialty Care in Sibley.

     Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 1, 2022, at the St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Sibley, with Father Siby Punnoose as celebrant.

     Burial will follow in the St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery of Sibley.

     Visitation will be Wednesday, August 31^st from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with family present from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Jurrens Funeral Home in Sibley.  There will be a rosary at 4:00 p.m.

     Susan “Sue” K. Stirler was born August 3, 1945, on a farm in Osceola County near Sibley, IA, the daughter of Keith and Eleanor (Geronsin) Walton.  Susan graduated from Sibley High School.  Susan was united in marriage to Alan Stirler on February 17, 1973.  Sue and Alan made their home in Sibley where she raised her family.  She was a member of St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Sibley.  She spent countless hours playing games with family and friends, especially her grandchildren.  She also greatly enjoyed reading books and participating in Bible studies.  She was able to enjoy some traveling over the years to visit extended family and loved living her later years in her apartment complex with many dear friends.  Sue died Sunday, August 28, 2022, with family and friends gathered together, at the age of seventy-seven.

     She is survived by her children, Jeffry (Kristi) Stirler of Apple Valley, MN; Adam (Tanya) Stirler of Sioux Falls, SD; Lynor (Josh) Johnson of St. Charles, IL; and Bonnie (Mike) Barda of Sioux Falls, SD; along with 10 grandchildren; three siblings: Ruth Obritsch and Lillian Walton of Hutchinson,MN; Robert (Jan) Walton of Sibley and many nieces and nephews.

     Susan was preceded in death by husband, Alan; her parents, Keith and Eleanor; and her sister, Mary Fitzpatrick.
