     Terry Brower age 72 of Rock Rapids, Iowa died Friday, October 29, 2021, at Rock Rapids Health Centre.

     Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Friday, November 5^th  at Faith Baptist Church in Rock Rapids, IA, with Reverend Jeff Poppinga officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Rock Rapids, IA.

     Visitation will be Thursday, November 4^th from 5:00 to 8:00 PM with family present at Faith Baptist Church in Rock Rapids.

     In Lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Faith Baptist Church of Rock Rapids.

     Jurrens Funeral Home of Rock Rapids is in charge of services.

     Terry Lynn Brower was born May 11, 1949, in Rock Rapids, IA, the son of Albert and Mavis (Sands) Brower.  He was raised in Rock Rapids, IA and attended grade school in Rock Rapids.  He graduated from Central Lyon High School.

     Terry was united in marriage to Charlotte (Sibson) on October 14, 1977, at United Methodist Church in Luverne, MN.  They made their home in Rock Rapids, IA, where they were married for 35 years.  Terry worked as a machinist for many years with TCS (Total Component Solutions) in Rock Valley, IA and had delivered for Culligan of Rock Rapids for many years prior.

     Terry was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Rock Rapids, where a common name for him was Bible Believing Baptist Brother Brower.  While attending Faith Baptist, he was involved with many programs within the church, including AWANA and multiple group gatherings.  In Terry’s younger days, he liked playing games including basketball, bowling, and golfing.  As those became harder to enjoy, he became a part of card club for many years and enjoyed playing Double Deck Pinochle with his wife and friends.  He also enjoyed playing card games and board games in person or on his computer and constantly listened to music with his radio or CDs.  He was an avid sports fan and loved watching football and had to record The Draft, so he didn’t miss anything important.  Of course, he could never miss out on anything involving his Hawkeyes or Bears!  His favorite memories are going to Sioux Falls Storm games (Indoor Football) with his daughter and enjoyed family vacations and traveling.

     In 2009, Terry was diagnosed with cancer and that is when his medical health issues started.  He lived his life as best he could in the eyes of the Lord.  This past Friday, October 29, 2021, Terry died at his home at Rock Rapids Health Center in Rock Rapids, IA, at the age of 72, where he was reunited with his beloved wife, “Charlie”.

     He is survived by his daughter Mary Schram (husband, Dan) of Orange City, IA; a brother, Alan Brower (wife, Deb) of Sioux City, IA; a sister, Nancy Koll (husband, Gene) of Des Moines, IA; and nieces, nephews and other extended family.

     He was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Brower; his mother Mavis and father Albert Brower.

Let us hope to live a life of faith as Terry had.  GO BEARS!
