Wendell Henrichs, age 82 of Sibley, Iowa died on Tuesday, October 17, 2023, at the Country View Manor in Sibley.

     There will be a private Graveside Service for the family.

     Arrangements are in the care of the Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley, IA.

     Wendell Gene Henrichs was born on January 15, 1941, in Sibley, IA, the son of Willie and Ruth (Buss) Henrichs.  He grew up in Sibley and attended school there.

     On May 16, 1985, he was united in marriage to Joyce Parker in Sioux Falls, SD.  After thirty-six years of marriage Joyce passed away on January 21, 2021.

     Wendell worked various jobs throughout his life such as farming with his dad, working for the elevator in Sibley, and driving truck.

     Wendell is survived by his five children, Coleen (Bill) Schildhauer of Sioux Falls, SD, Diane (Kenneth) Lindner of Hartley, IA, Scott Henrichs of Rapids City, SD, Wendy Swarthout of Sibley, IA, and Darice (Nick) Wonderlich of Eagan, MN; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; two siblings, Bertha Schultz of Rushmore, MN and Linda Jansma of Sheldon, IA; nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.

     He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie, and Ruth Henrichs; two brothers; and one sister.
