Wilma Mulder age 80 of Sioux Falls, SD died Thursday March 18, 2021 at Bethany Home in Brandon, SD.
A private funeral service will be held Monday, March 22, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the United Church of Christ in Larchwood, IA with Pastor Rich Jensen, officiating. Burial will follow in the Larchwood Cemetery at Larchwood, IA. The family requests that masks and social distancing be followed. A Live Stream link will be available on our website.
Public visitation without the family present will be Sunday, March 21st from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the United Church of Christ in Larchwood, IA.
Wilma (Van Den Hul) Mulder was born December 9, 1940, at Sioux Center, IA, the daughter of Max and Nellie (Burgers) Van Den Hul. Wilma grew up in Larchwood, IA where she attended Larchwood Public School. She was united in marriage to Adrian Mulder on July 3, 1963 at Luverne, MN. Wilma and Adrian made their home in Sioux Falls, SD. Wilma was a loving wife and mother. She cared for her family as a homemaker and bookkeeper for their family business Mulder & Son Painting and Sandblasting. She also ran the concessions at Hartford Speedway for several years. She enjoyed painting ceramics, knitting, reading, fishing, playing cards, tending to her flowers, going to sprint car races and riding her motorcycle. A memorable event in her life was when she was invited backstage at a Statler Brothers concert. She loved listening to the Statler Brothers music. Wilma always enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. This past Thursday morning, March 18, 2021, she died at Bethany Home in Brandon, SD at the age of eighty.
She is survived by her daughter, Deb and her husband, Bob Moser of Larchwood, IA; two grandsons, Jeremy (Julie) Moser of Altoona, IA and Daniel (Jaci) Moser of Larchwood, IA, four great grandchildren, Landon, Avery & Theo Moser of Larchwood, IA and Jackson Moser of Altoona, IA; her siblings, Betty (Bob) Morrison of Larchwood, IA; Geri (Van) Leffler of Kathleen, GA; Becky Breuer of Larchwood, IA; Helen Crawford of Brandon, SD; Tena Markle of Ankeny, IA; Nellie Mullinix (John) of Chatsworth, IA and Marinus (Sharon) Van Den Hul of Colorado Springs, CO. Survivors also include her step children Roger (Dana) Mulder of Valley Springs, SD; Rick (Laurie) Mulder of Sioux Falls, SD; Pat (Darrel) Bonnema of Sioux Falls, SD; Linda Schacht of Eugene, OR her brothers and sisters-in-law Janet Van Den Hul; Sandi Van Den Hul; Barb (Jerry) Maurer; Larry (Joan) Mulder and many nieces and nephews.
Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Adrian; parents, Max and Nellie and siblings, Herman, George, Mike, Ralph, Gerald and Helene.
