     Angeline Thom age 96, of Ashton, IA died Monday, November 28, 2022, at Country View Manor in Sibley, IA.

     Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, December 1, 2022, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Ashton, IA with Msgr. Michael Sernett, Fr. Siby Punnoose and Deacon Joseph Graves celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery at Ashton, IA.

     Visitation will be one hour prior to the services on Thursday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.

     Angeline Hilda Thom was born August 13, 1926, at Ashton, IA the youngest daughter and child of Fred and Carrie (Bausch) Thom. Angeline attended and graduated from St. Joseph’s Catholic School in Ashton, IA. As a young woman she worked at St. Joseph’s Catholic School as a cook and for all of her life she was a homemaker and helped in many ways on her families farm north of Ashton. She was an excellent pianist and enjoyed playing with her family. She was a caregiver to many and enjoyed sharing her love by helping others. She was an excellent cook and loved tending to her garden and her flowers. As her health declined, she became a resident of Country View Manor on July 24, 2018, where she passed away this past Monday morning November 28, 2022, at the age of ninety-six.
     She is survived by her many nieces, nephews and cousins along with her many great nieces and nephews.
     Angeline was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Carrie and her siblings, Caroline Thom, George Thom, Lavina Thom, John Thom, Anthony Thom, Norbert Thom, Margurite (Thom) Adkins, Harold Thom, Elmer Thom, Bernadette Thom and Sister Mildred Thom.
