Geraldine "Gerry" Wills

     Geraldine “Gerry” Wills age 77 of Sibley, IA passed away Sunday, February 13, 2022, at Sibley Specialty Care in Sibley, IA.

     Memorial service will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 16^th at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley, IA.

     Public visitation one hour prior to the service at the church.

     Geraldine A Wills was born on February 15, 1944, in Adrian, MN, the daughter of Raymond and Sadie (Didier) Nelson. Gerry grew up in Bigelow, MN and attended school there and Worthington, MN. On August 5, 1961, she was united in marriage to Robert Wills and the couple made their home in Sibley, IA. To this union two children were born, Daniel and Roberta. Gerry did industrial cleaning for people in Sibley and later worked at the Sibley Nursing and Rehab (Now known as Sibley Specialty Care) in the kitchen retiring in 2005. After forty-eight years of marriage, Gerry’s husband Robert passed away on August 5, 2009.

     Gerry was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Sibley, where she was active helping with soup and pie meal and attending Bible studies. She enjoyed sewing, crafts, needlework and was a great cook. She spent her evenings with children growing up, playing board games and she was always available for her children’s interests. Gerry liked to shop with her daughter and attend country music concerts. Her grandson from the minute he was born, she had a special place in her heart for him. She did the grandma things, making sure he had his favorite foods and took him fishing.  

     Gerry is survived by her two children, Daniel Wills of Sheldon, IA and Roberta Wills of Sibley, IA; one grandson, Justin Wills of Sibley, IA; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

     She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; two brothers-in-law.
