     Joyce Solma age 86 of Little Rock, IA passed away Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Osceola Regional Health Center in Sibley, IA.

     Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, January 10^th at Salem Reformed Church in Little Rock, IA, with Reverend Barry Wynveen officiating.

     Burial will follow in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Little Rock, IA.

     Visitation will be Sunday, January 9th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with the family present at the Salem Reformed Church of Little Rock, IA.

     Joyce Mildred Solma was born April 9, 1935, the daughter of Klaas and Bertha (Groen) Krull in Osceola County, Iowa. She grew up on a farm North of Little Rock where she also attended country school. In 1950 she moved with her parents to Little Rock. She worked in the Osceola Hospital in Sibley for a number of years.

     She was married to Dale Solma on November 12, 1956. They lived on a farm West of Little Rock until 1962. Then they purchased the home place Northwest of Little Rock. In 1996 they retired and moved to Little Rock. She then cleaned houses for others and helped in church when needed. She worked for Klaassen Auctioneering for several years, which she really enjoyed. Dale and Joyce attended many gospel singing groups and bus tours with friends. She was a member of Salem Reformed Church where she sang in Ladies and mixed choir, member of Faith Circle, service groups and WOW. She enjoyed family get-togethers and was very proud of her family.

     Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 65 years, Dale "Bud" Solma; daughter, Deb (Doug) Klaassen; grandson, Dereck (Mindy) Klaassen and their daughter, Morgan; 2 step great grandsons, Ryan, and Alex; sister-in-law, Elaine Heidebrink; along with many extended relatives and friends.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, Klaas and Bertha Krull; parents-in-law, Hiko and Dora (Feltman) Solma; brother, Jake (Ruth) Krull; sister, Irene (Lawrence) Odens; sister, Henrietta (Herbert) Herding; sister-in-law, Valoris Willemssen; brother-in-law, Robert Heidebrink and nephews, Lynn, and Scott Willemssen.
