     Linda Groen, age 69, died on Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Avera Merrill Pioneer Hospital in Rock Rapids, IA.

     Prayer Service will be held at 10:30 AM on Tuesday, November 29, 2022, at Jurrens Funeral Home in George, IA with burial to follow in the Evergreen Lawn Cemetery at George, IA.

     Visitation will be held on Monday, November 28th from 2:00 to 7:00 PM with family present from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at Jurrens Funeral Home of George.

      Linda (Bruinsma) Groen was born June 4, 1953, the daughter of Robert and Jule June (Fick) Bruinsma at Hartley, Iowa. She grew up in George and graduated from George High School. After high school she furthered her education attending a college in Ankeny and NCC in Sheldon.

      In 1973 Linda was united in marriage to Larry Groen. To this union, a daughter, Pam was born. They later divorced in 2000.

      Linda was a stay-at-home mom until Pam went to school. In the past Linda worked for Hardee's in Sheldon, Good Samaritan Society in George, and most recently, Staples in Orange City. Linda was a member of Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in George. She enjoyed crocheting, loved animals, especially cats, gardening, and visiting with friends.

      She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Brian) Arends; grandchildren, Kaley (Rick) Klein, Makenna, and Connor Arends; siblings, Ande (Pat) Bruinsma of George, Paula (Kent) Harms of George, Rodney (Dona) Bruinsma of Sioux Falls, SD; along with extended family and friends.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Jule Bruinsma.
