     Ronald Roos, age 86 of Little Rock, Iowa died Tuesday, February 28, 2023, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD

         A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the First Presbyterian Church in Little Rock, IA, with Reverend Steve Anderson officiating.

      Burial will be in the Pleasant View Cemetery in Little Rock.

      Visitation will be held one hour before the service in the church on Thursday.

     Ronald L. Roos, age 86 passed away on Feb 28, 2023. Ron was born Aug 1, 1936, on the family farm in Little Rock, IA to Raymond and Marie (Dreessen) Roos.

Ron spent his childhood working on the farm, he graduated Little Rock High School in 1954. He joined the Naval Reserve on November 29, 1955, soon after he was placed on active duty. Ron was honorably discharged on November 15, 1961. Ron worked a short time in Atlanta before returning to Iowa. He began work as a mechanic and in construction. Ron also worked on the family farm, as time went on the responsibility would become his. Ron retired from farming but was always a farmer at heart. Ron was always married to his work and never had children.

     Survived by brother Richard (Betty) Roos; brother in law, Bill Buttle; sister in law Bertha Roos; and other extended family.

     Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Marie; sisters, Marcella,Mildred and Marlene; and brother, Russell; a nephew and three grand nephews.

     The Jurrens Funeral Home of Sibley is in charge of the arrangements.
