      Ronald Tjaden age 57, of Sibley, IA died Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at the Osceola Regional Health Center in Sibley, IA.

     Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Sibley, IA with Fr. Siby Punnoose, celebrating.  Burial will follow in the St. Andrew's Catholic Cemetery at Sibley, IA.

     Visitation will be Friday, July 8^th from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. with the family present at the St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Sibley.

     Ronald  Le Roy Tjaden was born October 29, 1964, at Sibley, IA, the son of Merlin & Joyce  (Houwen) Tjaden .  Ron grew up in Sibley and graduated from Sibley High School.  As a young man he started working for Monfort/Swift in Worthington, MN, then IBP in Luverne and later at Sibley at Chase Bag Company.  Ron was united in marriage to Ellen Welch in the late 1980’s.  To this union were three children, Stephan, Matthew and Kari.  Ron cherished his family and always had time to listen or just be there.  He loved to go camping, fishing and hunting as much as he could.  Ron’s humbleness was his endearing trait along with his sense of humor and ability to tease.  This past Wednesday afternoon, July 6, 2022, Ron died unexpectedly at the Osceola Regional Health Center in Sibley, IA at the age of fifty-seven.

     He is survived by his children, Stephan (Michelle) Tjaden of Watertown, SD; Matthew  (Ashely) Tjaden of Bismark, ND and Kari Tjaden of Medora, ND; three grandchildren, Cooper, Kylie and West Tjaden; his mother, Joyce Tjaden of Sibley, IA; siblings, Dan (Terri) Tjaden of Sioux Falls, SD; Ken “Bubba” (Sharalyn) Tjaden of Sibley, IA; Janet (Scott) Johnson of Sioux Falls, SD; Daryl (Sharon) Tjaden of Sibley, IA and Robert (Stephanie) Tjaden of Auburn, WA.

     Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Merlin Tjaden.
